
The Rembun Village Government together with the Pamotan Community Health Center UPT, Dampit District, Malang Regency, accompanied by the Dampit Sub-district Leadership Council (Foropimcam) received a collaborative visit from 10 students from Cambodia, 2 students from the Bogor Defense University (UNHAN), 2 UBAYA students, 2 UNISSULA Semarang students, 2 UIN students, 2 UMM students and 6 Brawijaya University students accompanied by 1 lecturer from Cambodia, 4 lecturers from the Faculty of Medicine, Brawijaya University and 1 psychiatrist. The visit of the student group was received by the Head of Rembun Village Ahmad Soleh S.Sos., along with the Chairperson of the Rembun Village PKK Mobilization Team, Head of the Pamotan Health Center Ns.Qommarunzaman S.Kep.Ns.M.Kes. and the Head of Dampit Sub-district Abai Saleh S.Sos.M.M., Dampit Police Chief AKP Ahmad Taufik Syafiudin S.H.M.H., Dampit Military Commander Captain CKE Mulkamsiril Wednesday (3/12/2025) morning at the Rembun Village Hall. Rembun Village, Dampit District, was chosen as one of the study destinations because it has a unique program in the health sector, namely the mental health post. In his remarks, the Head of Dampit Sub-district, Abai Saleh, said that the Mental Health Post is a health program that focuses on prevention, early detection, treatment, and recovery of mental health problems at the community level. “The goal is to detect mental health problems as early as possible, provide support, and refer them to higher-level health facilities if needed,” he said. Abai Saleh, the familiar nickname of the Dampit Sub-district Head, also explained the role of traditional Posyandu (Integrated Health Post) by adding mental health services, such as basic counseling, group activity therapy, and counseling, to support community mental health,” he concluded. According to the Acting Head of the Pamotan Community Health Center, Qommaruzzaman, the main goal of the Jiwa Posyandu is early detection, namely identifying mental health problems as early as possible in community members.
Prevention: Reducing the risk of mental health problems through promotive and preventive activities. “Handling and assistance: Providing appropriate support, counseling, and therapy for People with Mental Problems (ODMK) and People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ). Referral: Referring more serious cases to advanced health facilities. Improving quality of life: Helping patients to remain productive, independent, and accepted in society, as well as reducing negative stigma. Activities carried out socialization and counseling: Providing education to the community and families about mental health. Early detection: Conducting screening or recording early symptoms of emotional mental disorders. Basic counseling: Providing basic counseling for residents in need. Therapy: Organizing therapy, such as Group Activity Therapy (TAK), for example by farming. Assistance: Accompanying and supervising ODGJ, including with home visits. Empowerment: Providing empowerment activities to increase the independence and productivity of ODGJ,” he explained. The Posyandu Jiwa which was held at the Rembun Village Hall was attended by 25 people with mental disorders, they were picked up by Posyandu cadres using an ambulance from the Pamotan Community Health Center. The 25 people with mental disorders were dominated by the elderly, their health was checked starting from checking blood sugar, blood pressure, weighing, height measurement. Also present were the Village Secretaries of Dampit District, the Dampit Forkopimcam Ranks, Posyandu Cadres, Rembun Village Apparatus, Pamotan Health Center Health Workers, and the Chairperson of the Rembun Village PKK Mobilization Team.
