At a Glance: Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya
Established under Surat Keputusan Dekan Nomor 1 Tahun 2017, the Department of Pharmacy at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya, serves as a leading hub for pharmaceutical education and research. The department oversees two prominent study programs: the Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy and the Professional Degree in Pharmacy (Pharmacist).
The department is supported by five key divisions of pharmaceutical sciences, which drive academic excellence and research innovation:
- Department of Clinical Pharmacy
Focuses on the clinical application of pharmaceuticals to optimize patient care and medication therapy management. - Department of Community Pharmacy
Prepares students for roles in community-based pharmacy services, addressing public health and medication access. - Department of Industrial Pharmacy
Specializes in pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality control, and industrial applications of pharmacy. - Department of Natural Product Pharmacy
Explores traditional medicine, natural resources, and their applications in modern pharmaceutical sciences. - Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Emphasizes the chemical aspects of drug design, synthesis, and analysis, bridging the gap between chemistry and pharmacotherapy.
