The Faculty of Medicine, Brawijaya University (FKUB) Department of Pharmacy Holds a Visiting Lecturer Program with the University of Malaya

The Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya (FKUB), held a Visiting Lecturer Program as part of the Pharmacoeconomics Lecture Series, featuring international speakers from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. The event featured Dr. Fatiha Hana Shabaruddin, a lecturer in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice, Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Malaya, with expertise in pharmacoeconomics, health technology assessment, clinical pharmacy, and pharmacy practice. The first session, titled “Introduction to Economic Evaluation (Part 1): Understanding Costs and Health Outcomes for Cost-Effective Healthcare,” was held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 9:20–11:00 a.m. WIB. The second session, titled “Introduction to Economic Evaluation (Part 2): Understanding Cost-Effectiveness Analysis and Cost-Utility Analysis,” was held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the same time.

This event is a source of pride, as Universiti Malaya is currently ranked 58th in the world in the QS World Rankings 2025, making it one of the best universities in Asia. This academic collaboration is a significant achievement for the Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, Brawijaya University (FMUB), as it successfully established research and lecture collaborations with world-class institutions. Through this guest lecture, it is hoped that students, lecturers, and pharmacy practitioners can broaden their knowledge of economic evaluation in the health sector, while simultaneously strengthening FMUB’s reputation as a leading center for health education and research at the national and global levels.
